The squeaking occurs naturally when floors settle, and joists rub together with subflooring – but this is avoidable. The solution is Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape. The tape creates a seal that prevents void spaces which occur as joists and subfloors dry and shrink. Rolling Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape takes practically no time at all and can easily be incorporated into flooring jobs with our patented roller. Simply roll tape onto floor joists, adhesive side down, and install subflooring on top. Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape comes in three standard width sizes based on the most common joist sizes in new construction projects. Joist Tape The Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape is 100 linear feet long and available in widths of 1-7/16", 2-1/4", and 3". Select the width appropriate for your floor joists. The Joist Tape must cover the width of the joists to be effective. Make sure all surfaces are free from dirt, ice, and water before applying the Noiseproofing Joist Tape. If you decouple, the sound is unable to travel as easily through the construction, reducing ambient noise very effeciently. You need about 7  U-boats per square meter floorspace when using 48x48mm or 48x36mm studs. You can also use even more shallow studs, such as 48x30mm, but in such case we recommend using 15 U-boats per square meter, or every 20cm instead of every 30cm. Installing the U-boats There are lot of alternative methods on decoupling your floor. Rubber U´s, however, has proven very functional both in terms of decoupling-effeciency but also in regards to easy and comprehensible installation. This method is popular in both professional studios and home cinemas. These U-boats allow you to place 48x48mm studs or alternatively 48x36mm studs if you´d like to save some height directly on the sub-floor. You can also use 48x30mm studs, if the floor plates has sufficient strength We recommend to use 30cm between each U-boat and 60 cm center-center distance between each row of U-boats. Further we recommend using 48x48mm or 48x36mm studs.  48x30mm studs could also be used, if the floor plates has sufficient strength. We also recommend using insulation under the floor plates. We strongly recommend to use green glue and an additional layer of fiber gypsum plates to further improve sound insulation efficiency. Please remember to never allow the floorboards to touch the surrounding walls as this would reduce the efficiency of the decoupling significantly. We recommend that you leave about 2-3mm and use GreenGlue Sealant to cover the gap. Dimensions of the clip is 61x38mm (width / height). The inner section is 49mm allowing for some flexibility using a 48mm stud. The bottom rubber section builds 10mm from the sub-flooring.

Det eneste som demper mer enn disse er en dobbeltdør (tandemdør) av samme type, som også kan leveres på henvendelse. Selv med dobbeltdør øker imidlertid isolasjonsverdien kun med 3dB (fra 50->53dB) hvilket betyr at denne løsningen er svært godt lydisolert selv med en enkelt dør. NEW!  Resonance reducing frame design As an increasing number of our customers is moving over to AT fabrics these days, we have placed great emphasis on the performance of the frame in such regards. One issue has been the potential of internal resonances within the confinements of the aluminum frame in setups where powerful speakers are placed behind the frame shooting audio forward. To reduce the risk of soundwaves bouncing back and forth within the frame, thus potentialle causing audible resonances, our 6. generation UltraFrame has a significantly smaller inner compartment than before which is also filled with acoustical dampening material. The frame The elegantly rounded shape provides an exclusive impression, and the 10cm width increases the framed effect. In addition, the frame is now covered in a brand new ultrablack hand wrapped velvet that absorbs light very effectively. The frame is delivered in a "flat" package for more effecient transporting, but is still very easy to assemble. The long sides of the frame is now divided in two, reducing the size of the package significantly and thus also the transporting costs to our customers located all over the world.
